22. I've never been to an interfaith Jewish/Christian wedding. What should I expect?
Eve is Jewish and James is Christian. They love to learn about and participate in one another's religious life and are grateful for the enriching insights and experiences they give to each other.
The structure of the ceremony will be a Jewish wedding ceremony and they will be married by Eve's cousin, Rachael Bregman, a rabbi; however, there will be Christian readings that reflect James' religious tradition and faith.
We are honored that our chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) is being made by Jame's mother, Jeannie.
We are sensitive to the fact that this may make some guests uncomfortable. We've been there! Eve was uncomfortable her first time in a Church and James was uncomfortable his first time in a Temple.
